The Facts About Anxiety

Anxiety is an issue that affects everyone at some point in their life, but millions of people are suffering from diagnosed anxiety disorders that cause them everyday struggles.  Anxiety disorders manifest in a number of different ways.  Some have generalized anxiety disorder where they feel excessive worry for no reason and catastrophize minor problems.  Panic disorders involve anxiety attacks that strike randomly and often manifest themselves physically through increased heart rate, sweating and hyperventilation.  Others suffer from social anxiety where they have a higher than normal fear of social situations and experience debilitating self-consciousness.

As shown in the graphic below, many people do not seek treatment for these disorders and those that do are often given prescription medications.  There are a number of ways to improve anxiety naturally.  Talk therapy, nutrition and exercise modifications, meditation, changing sleep habits and many other methods have been proven effective in helping those suffering with anxiety disorders.  If you are suffering from an anxiety disorder, the statistics below show that you are not alone.  Don't be afraid to reach out and seek help.
