Ankles/Feet Pain

Ankle and foot pain is a common, but debilitating form of pain caused by athletics.  Ankle sprains, strains, and tears are the overstretching or tearing of the ligament that connects to the foot.  An ankle injury can cause a predisposition to “rolling” the ankle and causing additional sprains or tears so it should be treated properly.

Physical support of the ankle during the healing process helps to ensure all ligaments heal properly. 

In terms of foot pain, a condition called plantar fasciitis is the most common issue and is caused by inflammation in the bottom muscle of the heel.  Heel spurs also commonly occur along with plantar fasciitis.
