About Me:

I am a Bastyr University graduate and licensed in Arizona as a naturopathic physician and licensed acupuncturist. I discovered naturopathic medicine by happy accident when researching graduate school options, and discovered that Natural Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine together featured an even deeper understanding of multiple healing systems. I subsequently moved from sunny Nevada to the Pacific Northwest to learn about and explore what these wonderful medicines have to offer. After completing a one-year general medicine residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, I accepted and completed a second year general medicine residency at Southwest Natural Medicine Center and am now completing a third year residency in pain management at the Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine.

Emphasis:

My clinical interests are in family medicine and treating acute and chronic conditions for all ages, non-opioid pain management including acupuncture, regenerative injection therapies, spinal and fascial manipulation, and improving general wellness through physical medicine, nutrition and Nature Cure, all while honoring the constitutional modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine and homeopathy.

Education:

University of Nevada, Las Vegas (Bachelor of Science, Nutrition Sciences with focus on Sports Nutrition, 2008); Bastyr University (Doctor of Natural Medicine, 2015); Bastyr University (Master of Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine, 2016)

Additional Training:

Homeopathy in Pediatrics, Advanced Constitutional Hydrotherapy, Kinesio Taping 1-4, Craniosacral Therapy, Advanced Manipulation Series, Comprehensive Pain Management Seminar, and Frequency Specific Microcurrent

My Mission:

I believe that the human body has an innate ability to heal if support is provided and balance with nature and the environment is observed. This support includes finding the disruptions that are causing illness for a patient and assisting them in establishing the determinants of healthy living. For each patient I strive to enlighten, honor, and nurture the development of awareness in all aspects of health while adhering to the golden principle of "the gentlest application, be it interior or exterior, is best."
