About Me: I am a Bastyr University graduate and licensed in Arizona as an ND and LAc. I discovered naturopathic medicine by happy accident when researching graduate school options, and discovered that Natural Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine together featured an even deeper understanding of multiple healing systems. I subsequently moved from sunny Nevada to the Pacific Northwest to learn about and explore what these wonderful medicines have to offer. After graduating and completing a one-year general medicine residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, I accepted a second year ND Residency at Southwest Natural Medicine Center and have happily returned to the desert.
Emphasis: My clinical interests are in family medicine and acute and chronic conditions for all ages, pain management, and improving general wellness through physical medicine, environmental medicine, nature cure, and nutrition, all while honoring the constitutional modalities of homeopathy and traditional Chinese Medicine including the practice of acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapy.
Education: University of Nevada, Las Vegas (Bachelor of Science, Nutrition Sciences with focus on Sports Nutrition, 2008); Bastyr University (Doctor of Natural Medicine, 2015); Bastyr University (Masters of Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine, 2016)
Additional training: Homeopathy in Pediatrics, Advanced Constitutional Hydrotherapy, Kinesio Taping 1-4, Cranio Sacral Therapy and Advanced Manipulation Series.
My Mission: I believe that the human body has an innate ability to heal if support is provided and balance with nature and the environment is observed. This support includes finding the disruptions that are causing illness for a patient and assisting them in establishing the determinants of healthy living. For each patient I strive to enlighten, honor, and nurture the development of awareness in all aspects of health while adhering to the Golden Principle of "the gentlest application, be it interior or exterior, is best".
